Matthias is a freelancing classical percussionist, educator, and composer. „Rhythmical percussionism together with classical dream, Matthias Dahms created a music that conquers all. “ (United Daily News, Taiwan). While still a student, he began holding workshops and seminars teaching the method he developed for experiencing rhythm and music (Karlsruhe University of Music, Association of German Music Schools, Bavarian Music Academy, Tainan National College of the Arts, etc).
In 1987, Matthias was a percussionist with Circus Krone, then the largest circus in Europe. Concert performances, recordings for radio and TV broadcasters as a soloist and as a member of various ensembles and orchestras (Forum Neue Musik Berlin, Berlin Improvising Composers Ensemble, Neues Kammerorchester Berlin, etc). “That night, the audience was carried away by German percussionist Matthias Dahms‘ music“ (Ming-Shen News, Taiwan). 1999 Entry in ‚Who’s Who‘. 1999/2001 teaching position at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts. More than 50 compositions from various genres and instrumental methods have been published.

In addition to his concert and educational activities, Matthias has been working and researching in the field of frequency therapy (gong resonance/bioresonance) for more than a decade.
